A Hot Day

Most days are pretty warm and humid at Haven, but the cool sea breezes make it very comfortable except if you're out in the midday sun. Today was a bit different.  By 7am it was already approaching 30 degrees and the breeze was absent.  Swimming was magical at this time of the morning, but maybe not later.

Harper learnt how to skim stones on the water.

Another couple from Melbourne arrived today. Next door neighbour's of some friends of Rosie.  along with Gary and Chris from Adelaide and Gherardo from Adelaide, we all got into some lively conversation over pre- dinner drinks discussing everything from impressions of Vietenam, a myriad of other places in the world people had been to, bad travel stories and swapping versions of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven.

After dinner, we had a big game of Scrabble.  For the record, Huw won.
